1. The free tools are provided as-is
The Clergy Housing Calculator, Church Bylaws Generator, Child & Vulnerable-Person Protection Policy Generator and Donation Receipt Generator are provided free of charge, as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied — including no warranty that a result is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. You use them at your own discretion.
2. General information, not legal or tax advice
Everything these tools produce — a calculated deduction, a set of by-laws, a policy, a receipt — is general information built from official sources, not legal or tax advice for your specific situation. Laws differ by province and state and change over time. Have a qualified lawyer or accountant review anything before your church adopts, files, or relies on it.
3. You are responsible for what your church adopts or files
Your church, not ChurchWise, decides whether to adopt a generated policy or by-law, file a calculated figure with a tax return, or issue a generated receipt. That decision, and the consequences of it, are your church’s responsibility.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChurchWiseAI Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the free tools or the Safe Church Tracker. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) CAD $100. Nothing in this section excludes or limits a liability that the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or any other law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
5. The Safe Church Tracker subscription
The Safe Church Tracker is a paid subscription: $9.95/month or $99.50/year, with a 14-day free trial and no card required to start. You can cancel at any time; service continues until the end of the period you already paid for. After cancellation, your church’s data is kept for 90 days so you can export it or resume the subscription, then it is deleted.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use these tools to generate documents for a church or organization you are not authorized to act for, to submit false information to a government body, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the tools change. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last updated. Continuing to use ChurchWise after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
